29 March 2019 - KOSTT is the first public company, with regard to safeguards against Natural Disasters and Other disasters, to conduct a simulation/exercise of an emergency situation

The Transmission, System and market Operator KOSTT J.S.C, with regard to safeguard measures, and with the support of the Police of the Republic of Kosovo, the Search-Rescue and Fire-fighting Brigade in the Municipality of Prishtina, and the Emergency Service in Prishtina, today conducted a Simulation/Exercise on emergency situation in accordance with the Law No. 04/L-027 for Protection against Natural and Other Disasters in the Headquarters of KOSTT.

Prevention of natural, technological and man-made disasters and the readiness to take proper actions in cases of emergencies have gradually turned into one of the main duties, and an integral part of the strategy and development plans of the KOSTT emergency response system, whereby during the exercise the entire facility was evacuated within four minutes and fourteen seconds, the Kosovo Police arrived at the site within two minutes and twelve seconds, the Emergency Services arrived in two minutes and twenty five seconds, the fire-fighting unit arrived in four minutes and forty seconds, whereas the unconscious employee (simulation) was evacuated within nineteen minutes.

27 March 2019 - The 220 kV dual high-voltage line connecting DS 220 kV Drenasi with SS 220/10(20) Drenasi and SS 220/10(20) Drenasi with SS 220/110kV Prizren 2 is energized


KOSTT J.S.C. wants to inform the citizens that today, on 27 March 2019 (Wednesday), the new 220 kV dual high-voltage line connecting DS 220 kV Drenasi with SS 220/10(20) Drenasi and SS 220/10(20) Drenasi with SS 220/110 kV Prizren 2 has been energized.

22 March 2019 - Works in the framework of the project "Development of Transmission System, LOT 1 - Lines" at SS 110/35/10 kV Theranda

We want to inform the citizens that, in order to create safe working conditions, on 23 March 2019 (Saturday), the 10 kV line Reshan will be disconnected from 10:00h until 10:30h, while the 10kV line Mushtishtë in SS Theranda will be disconnected from 10:30h until 11:00h. Disconnection is necessary to enable the works for dismantling the conductors.
During the above-mentioned time, citizens/institutions supplied by these lines will remain without electricity supply from (The foreseen reduction is 2 MW).

19 March 2019 - KOSTT continues its meetings in search of support to become an Independent Regulatory Zone/Block within Continental Europe.

Chief Executive Officer of KOSTT, Mr. Ilir M. Shala, together with his associates, is continuing the meetings in search of support for KOSTT in its bid for becoming an independent Regulatory Zone/Block within Continental Europe as well as establishing regional cooperation with transmission system operators whereby he carried out a visit to the Croatian Transmission System Operator - HOPS.

11 March 2019 - KOSTT becomes part of the International Women's Day/IWD 2019 annual campaign through the Balance for Better initiative

With the commitment to achieve and promote gender equality within the company in order to increase women's professional participation in leading and decision-making roles, and in the framework of making efforts to create a more gender-balanced labour force, with the support of our partners through Engendering Utilities (a USAID program) and Tetra Tech, the Chief Executive Officer of KOSTT, Ilir M. Shala, has already initiated KOSTT’s initiative for a 50/50 leadership within the company, which is aimed at the participation in building the professional and managerial capacities of selected employees in meeting commitments for ensuring a gender-balanced leadership within the company. Out of 10 staff members, 5 are men and 5 are women.

2 March 2019 - KOSTT continues its visits looking for support to becoming an Independent Regulatory Zone/Block within Continental Europe

In the series of meetings with the aim to making KOSTT an Independent Regulatory Zone/Block within Continental Europe and to enhance regional cooperation with transmission system operators, KOSTT's senior management led by the Chief Executive Officer Mr. Ilir M. Shala and its associates today visited the Transmission System Operator of Albania.

At the meeting with senior representatives of the counterpart company from the TSO lead by the Administrator, Mr. Skerdi Drenova, it was discussed about the continuation of mutual cooperation in terms of the security operation of the transmission systems of the two countries and progress in the establishment of the common electricity market and the process of establishing the Albanian Stock Exchange (APEX) where KOSTT will be a shareholder, and in particular it was discussed about the challenges regarding the implementation of KOSTT-ENTSO-E Connection Agreement, which is also related to the functionalization of the 400 kV interconnection line Kosovo-Albania.

22 February 2019 - KOSTT refutes the headline of the article published on 21 February 2019 by Lajmi.net, RTK and other media in Kosovo, stating "KOSTT is illegally supplying electricity to the north"

This headline of the above-mentioned article does not stand and is a misinterpretation of the responses given by KOSTT regarding the coverage of electricity consumption in the northern part of Kosovo. This misrepresentation creates confusion and ambiguity and undermines the processes that KOSTT and Kosovo are going through regarding the membership in ENTSO-E and other international organizations, and at the same time contributes to the obstructions made by the Serbian side/EMS in relation to KOSTT for financial gain.
